Barcelona Airports

The Barcelona Airport is located approximately 15 km from the center of the city. It is easy to rent a car in Barcelona airport from one of the numerous companies and be on your way. There are other possibilities for transportation like buses, taxis, and trains, but they can be uncomfortable and expensive; especially with all of you luggage.

International flights arrive at terminals A and B depending on the airline. The airport is relatively small so it is not to confusing to find your way to the baggage claim. There are two other airports that are very close to Barcelona and they are also viable places to book rental cars. Girona Airport has seen its passenger base increase almost 10 fold since the year 2000. It provides service to many cities throughout Europe and is a major hub of Ryanair. Reus Airport is the smallest of the 3 but it is still a possibility to be your destination. They service about 1.5 million passengers per year with mostly domestic or short distance international flights. Both of these smaller airports are about 100 km from Barcelona meaning a short drive in your rental car.
